As Oil & Gas Production continues to develop in new and changing areas, the pipeline infrastructure exists for the transport of crude and refined petroleum, fuels – such as oil, natural gas and biofuels. Polyethylene pipes were first developed for use in crude oil extraction and transportation in oil fields before it was introduced for conveyance of potable water.

Polyethylene, multilayer polyethylene, Roto-lined pipe (with PE) and fabrications are required in this industry. A PE liner consists of a number of polyethylene pipe lengths, which are fused together and inserted into sections of carbon steel pipelines and flowlines. The Carbon Steel pipe provides the pressure containment; while the PE liner provides corrosion protection. Roto-lined pipes are steel pipes that have been lined using a rotational moulding process whereby granular polyethylene is introduced into the inside of the pipe and then heated until it adheres to the pipe inner giving a corrosion-proof lining to the pipe.

Multi-layer pipes are polyethylene pipes made of two or more layers. Each layer giving a different physical property.

For example a tough outer layer that resists abrasion while the inner layer is resistant to a particular chemical being transported through the pipe. Fabrications can, for example, be a junction where multiple pipes come together and the fabrication facilitates for a hub where different sizes of pipe join together.

Muna Noor can provide both pipe-liners and pipe lining for steel pipe applications to meet your requirements.
